That led to a staff director position at a Los Angeles based production company. While on staff Matt directed several add campaigns for Blue Cross, The Dallas Stars, The City of Las Vegas, Circus Circus Hotel, the City of Laughlin,  and others. Matt has won awards such as the ‘Addy’s” and “Best in Show” for his commercial directing

In 2004 Matt was given the opportunity to shoot a behind the scenes documentary named “Destiny Rules” for the legendary rock group Fleetwood Mac which was broadcast commercial free on the VH1 Network. The project followed the band from the beginning to the end stages of the creation of their most recent album, “Say You Will”, and gave an up close and personal view to the inner workings of the band. Entertainment Weekly reviewed the film and said it was, “one of the best rock n’ roll documentaries ever.”
